Due to an inadvertent scheduling conflict with the Golden West Grand, we have moved our shoot date two weeks later to the 16th-20th of May. We are pleased that we were able to rework our supplier contracts because it is very important that our shoot benefits both the Clark County Shooting Park and the Nevada State Trapshooting Association. We appreciate the efforts by the NSTA Board and the Shooting Park management to facilitate this change.

We also want to thank our early registrants for your understanding. We have only had a couple of shooters cancel because of conflicts with the new dates but we also have picked up a few more because they had conflicts with the earlier dates.

Overall, we are very pleased with the response to our new concept trap shoot. Because we have packaged everything; targets, registration fees, hotel accommodations, luxury coach transfers between the hotel and gun club and onsite gun and ammo storage all you have to do is fly in with your gun, glasses and ears. You'll get to shoot 500 singles and 500 handicap targets over 5 days at the fabulous, new Clark County Shooting Park. All this for as little as $160.00 per day.

And, who says there is no money to be won by the average shooter? We are splitting the money prizes equally and they are based on your score for 500 targets. This means that the shooter who wins C singles will get the same size check as the shooter who wins handicap champ. If they play our Lewis style, Las Vegas Jackpot, our Class or Yardage Group winners could each cash checks over $3,000!

Tilden is also creating some great commemorative belt buckles for high scores in each of the 10 events and for our Kolar sponsored HOA Buckles as well. Over 60 buckles will be awarded!

If you want a First Class experience, come and help us support the new Clark County Shooting Park and re-capture the glory days of trapshooting. You don't want to miss the fun of great targets during the day and Las Vegas at night. A lot of couples are coming. I guess this is one big shoot where the non-shooting wives want to come along. I wonder why.

Our Early Bird spots are filling up and you have only until February 13th to save $100.00 off our standard rates. You can save your spot with a $200, refundable deposit.

We had a question about our Lewis Class. Here is what is on our website:

"The Las Vegas 1000 Jackpot is our Lewis style option for the shoot. It will be based on the weekly HOA results in each class and yardage group. The pot will be divided equally among all classes for singles and all yardage groups for handicap. You may enter just for singles or handicap or both. The buy-in is $50.00 for each discipline. The payout will be split 50/30/20, ties divide.

By example, if 300 shooters enter for handicap that would generate a pot of $15,000 just for handicap for the week. Divided by our 4 yardage groups, each group would be allocated $3,750.00. First Lewis would win or split $1,875.00, second Lewis would win or split $1,125.00 and third Lewis would win or split $750.00"

We will have at least 5 Singles classes and our yardage groups are 20-22; 23-24; 25-26 & 27.

What realistic number of shooters do you think you will have ? I'm in IL. and went to old club 8 times last 15 yrs. Hope this makes it worth going to as really enjoyed attending Steves shoots.

The maximum number of shooters we can handle is 400. We are ahead of our own projections already. We have full page ads in both Trap&Field and Trapshooting USA which are just starting to hit mailboxes and our phone traffic is picking up from those shooters who are not on TS.com. With our upcoming mailing program, most trapshooters across the country will know its going to be a heck of a deal.

Our shoot is a different format from the regular shoot but is offering some pretty good money opportunities, particularly for shooters in singles classes and yardage groups that usually don't pay too well.

Also, because we are making it so easy to participate by handling lots of the logistics as to hotel, transportation, gun storage, ammo, etc., guys who wouldn't normally want to travel to a big shoot can come to our shoot no problem. Plus, it's hard to beat the value for the money.

So, we hope to sell out, because the more the merrier, but in any case its shaping up to be a pretty good crowd.

There must be a lot of snowed in trapshooters out there dreaming of 80 degree weather in Las Vegas in May based on the steady stream of reservations coming in today from the colder climes. I just counted and we have reservations from 13 different states already.
