2str8, show me where the flag is on the ground?

Looks to me like they have people carrying the flag and keeping it off the ground.

If you are missing targets, I can see why.....

I think if you look closer that you can see that there are people standing underneath the flag to keep the flag from touching the ground. If you ever see a large flag brought out during the halftime at a football game or even the baseball game above, they also have people underneath of the flag. I'll bet that people would come right out of the stands to help hold it up if the flag were to touch the ground anywhere. And not to knock ole Hauxy, but I'll bet he can tell the difference between 7 1/2's and 8's.

Why are there people who insist on contradicting or bashing other peoples posts as soon as they post. Look at any post , and withing the first few posts , SOMEONE has to point out faults of something. All you had to do was to look at the picture as did the rest of us as Git-er-done pointed out.

This is the Flower Flag in Lompoc, CA

"Each stripe is 30 feet wide, and I'm standing near the end of the bottom-right white stripe. The flag is 740 feet long and 390 feet wide. Each star is 24 feet in diameter. One estimate is there are more than 2 million flowers in the flag."

    2str8,

If you "were not there to watch it", why did you ask "I thought you were not supposed to drag the flag on the ground" and "how can you tell by looking at the picture if it ever touched the ground"??

You're wrong 2str8. The there isn't any part of the flag on the ground in the picture. Look again.

The formula for installing a flap pole it one third of the pole should be in the ground. This would take a heck of a pole, and the wind load would scare you do death. After figuring the wind load , the pole would have to be engineered. What a pole !

    2str8,,,

Two other posters and myself, say you are wrong,,and I will add, as usual. The closest that this end of the flag gets to the ground, is two feet ABOVE it. I can 'see' why you don't shoot registered.

    "You are not truthful"

LMAO. As usual, you are wrong. You haven't spoke a word of truth as deckart, antigojohn, sammie or 2srt8. Who are you to accuse others deckart??
