This Wolf was shot near Headquarters, Idaho. The e-mail said she was bow hunting using a call when she saw this wolf stalking her. She tried to scare him off but he headed straight for her. She chose the .44 mag over the bow. She shot him three times. The first shot was at about 10 feet. She said that people out looking for mushrooms had better be armed. Send me your e-mail address and I will forward it to you.... Jim

mrs keet must be a "city" dweller and has no concept of the "wild".

Let alone the "wolf" problem created by educated idiots who forced their reintroduction!

Mrskeet Not photo shopped. People have no idea what we are up against with these animals. I read somewhere that Lewis and Clark encountered Grizzly Bears on the Potomac river near Washington DC. Maybe we should re-introduce them too.

It was in our local paper this morning that we now have one that has moved into our area. Klamath County, Oregon. One can only hope I don't see him.

we here in Idaho have to deal with wolves almost everyday

she had a tag (i think) so she was legal

I don't know enough about trick photography to say this is a photo-shop or not but the size of the animal looks about correct. Compare the large frame revolver (S&W M29 probably) to the animal's forearm that is about the correct size for a full grown Wolf. These things do kill and eat very large animals routinely so they have to be pretty big and powerful for that. Not many of the people that live in the Wolf re-introduction areas like these big predators being around.

This picture was sent to me by a guy in Southern Colorado. He also says that the Wolves will come straight at you. They do not show fear of man. JIM

We have a cabin in northern MI in a wolf re introduction area. The local sentiment is "shoot them in the gut so they run a ways before they die". Can't let the dogs or grandkids out at night because of government MORONS.Bill Wheeler

I live about 30 miles from where the wolf was shot. I know the lady and family and guarantee the picture was not fixed. You would not belive the incidents that are happening and you never hear of them except localy. People that take there dogs into the woods are at a very good risk of loosing them now, wolves hate intruders. A real problem now, just a matter of time before a child is snatched.

They are now in a area in central WA where there is a lot of cross country skiing(Methow Valley).

There has already been numerous encounters with the local Cougar's over the years.

Wait until one of these spandex wearer's has a Wolf encounter !!

There will be a different outcome, sad to say, over a putty tat encounter!!

At least hunters have a means of protecting life and limb. These poor saps don't!!
