Laminate Stocks

    I have been thinking on getting a stock made and was wondering what they looked like done. As in the different colors....I am up in the air on what color.

    Friend of mine has a purple stock and forend with high gloss, looks fantastic. Same color as the purple on this screen under "Insert/Upload Image"

    Laminate stocks are nice. Unless you like the color pink I would stay away from the red color laminate. The red laminate colored wood tends to turn pink.

    Yea thats the one I saw earlier and have seen the wenig page. But would like to see more of them done as the block pics do not show what they will look like shaped.

    I think traditional wood looks the best on an O/U gun. I think laminate stocks ruin the look, the only firearm that should have a laminate stock is an AK.

    I tend to like the blondwood like maple and mytle......But also like the laminate on some. I am thinking of getting a beretta 391 done.

    Check out Joel Russo in Harrisburg if you are looking for laminated wood.

    He just finished a 10/22 Stocky's Stock for the wife and it turned out amazing.

    This one is from Wenig but modified and custom fit for me by Rich Bangert. Also has Soft Touch installed by Shooters Emporium ,a tricky job well done by all involved. Jack Reeves

    I just can't figure out why I'd put laminate on a high end trap gun??

    Give me walnut, give me maple but not that laminated stuff. I think its not that good looking at all. A good piece of natural wood is far better.
