LA police selling guns?

    Looks more like they were buying the guns at a special LA SWAT price of $600 and selling them for around $2,500 (MSRP is around $3,500).

    Original article is more about the price issue than illegal sales.

    Their was apparently a gentlemens agreement between the officers and the company. In other words there was no agreement. But unless these sales were done without and FFL I don't see how they were illegal. Shady but not illegal. However I'll bet Kimber won't be as generous in the future.

    Phoenix PD did this when Ruger came out with the P-85. I wasn't happy that the only place I could get a P-85 was from a cop that was making money off me.
