kx5 not ejecting shell all the time

    That little bar is just that, the locking bar release. It does not do anything for the ejectors. When you close the breach, the barrel lug hits the release bar and allows the locking bar to move forward. The "W" shaped clip, or silver bar across the bottom of the lug, never touches that bar. That clip is forced upward and into the ejector, from the bottom of the receiver, to hold it until the ejector is tripped. Sounds to me like maybe that clip broke, or the ejector is broke. Maybe the spring. When the barrel is off the receiver, the ejector should be out all the way and there should be spring tension on it, while compressing it in.

    If you can, take the barrel in your left hand and compress the ejector in all the way. Push it against a table for some leverage. Then push that "W" clip up to catch the ejector. If the ejector just comes back out without being held in, something is broke inside. You have to remove that little hex head screw in the barrel lug to get at that "W" clip and springs in the ejector.
