The X gun is a good design, but if you shoot reloads which are not properly sized, you may break the rather fragile ejector.

Do a search for other threads on the KX-5. It's been the subject of a couple lately. Like any gun, they will kick you if they don't fit you (that was hashed over on another thread as well).

Hoosier Daddy, How else can a KX5 kick any more than any other gun of the same weight? Assuming you have normal anatomy.

Daddy, I still say it was the fit. I once had a Remington 3200 Competition that punched me in the jaw like a prize fighter but my nephew could shoot it in total comfort so I sold it to him.

The fixed stock KX-5 I shot was very soft, and must have fit me! ;^)

Started shooting a Kx-5 this year and do not notice any recoil at all. I had the gun fitted by the country gentleman, adding an adjustable buttplate with a kickease recoil pad. It's one of the most comfortable guns that I've ever fired.
