    I just recently purchased a KS-5 special from this site. It had a release in it and I asked to have it changed back to pull. The trigger has more travel in it than my Springfield 03. I tried shooting it today on a 200 target program. Flinched, riding targets out, timing off, a total disaster.I finally started mounting the gun, taking up about half of the slack and then called for the target. Finally managed to run the last 50, but this just isn't going to work.

    Can anyone tell me if there is an adjustment to take up travel. I know that you can externally adjust tension and LOP, but what about travel? I didn't notice anyplace to make an adjustment internally when I had the stock off the other day. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, could you kindly enlighten me?

    Thanks in advance---Steve

    Thanks GB and Ed. Ed, Would there be a good time for me to call you tomorrow? I do not presently have the stock off of the gun. I just had a Graco LOP installed and need some time to remove things before I call. I'm pretty familiar with loading and pulling the trigger,but not sure I know too much about this gun's internal workings. Thanks, Steve

    Steve I returned your e-mail...

    I agree with Ed, it's (usually an easy job) but I have run across a couple (KX5) that needed a new set screw as the old one was ground to short. (due to the release). Ed have you seen this?

    Steve give "us" a call...LOL

    Steve;

    If you post your email address I can email you a scan of the page in the manual that shows what screws do what. I had the opposite problem after a recent service by Krieghoff - mine was so touchy it would go off as I swung to the bird.

    Ed, Thanks so much for your time you spent with me on the phone yesterday. You are a gentleman.

    I could not find a screw at the hardware stores. Checked ACE and several others. I found one with the correct threads, but the head was too big. I called Earnest Marlette and he had me call Braxton at Kreighoff. I was informed that the screw was a restricted part.The gun would need to be shipped to a Kreighoff service place to have it installed. I declined. Can't believe they tell you how to make adjustments in the manual, but won't send you the screw to install yourself. I had a place in town order me one. M3-.05. I am just not sure of the length. We'll see. Again, a thanks to you Matt and others for your kind assistance. Steve

    Steve...

    Do you have a hobby shop in town? They will have the screw. If not I can get one for you. Let me know.
