I have a KS-5 special that has a pull trigger. I have the hook and springs for a release trigger. I would like to have the release trigger installed in my gun. I have heard that it is best to have a qualified gunsmith to do the job rather than try it myself. I am interested in any recommendations from fellow shooters regarding who could do a good job at installing a good release trigger.
Thanks in advance for your information.

Kolar did mine years ago. No problems for over 22 years.

    Shoot well.

Stl Flyn talked me through the procedure to install the release trigger. His advise was perfect. Everything works great. If anyone ever has any questions about triggers in KS 5 shotguns, Jon is your man!

    Bob,

Make sure you get the correct model hook for you gun. The hook pictured above is for the trigger with one adjusting set screw (A). Thus the set screws in the hook for adjustment. The other (D),is very similar, but does not have the set screws in it. The set screw adjustment for the hook is in the trigger (C). That trigger would have two set screws in it (A and C).

No, I have the trigger with one screw. Put a thread in the wanted section asking for the hook without the set screws. It is possible the hook with the set screws may work in the trigger with two screws. It won't work the other way around though, because there is no way to adjust it, easily. The best bet would be to find the hook with no adjustment set screws, for your model trigger. If you need a set screw for the front screw (C),that is missing, go to a motorcycle shop and see if they have one. There are allot of different set screws used on motorcycles, ATV's etc. Bicycles also. Also, Krieghoff may send you one. Jon
