Anyone have one they'd like to sell?

Barring that, anyone have pictures of one they can post? I've seen 2 different designs, one on the Kay Ohye video, one on here years and years ago. I have a couple ideas in mind for making one myself if need be, but I'd like to see some other ideas.

And you can forgo the "don't try it yourself" advice. I've completely disassembled my kolar as far as is possible a number of times, and while the K80 has a few more pieces in a slightly smaller area, it really doesn't look much more complicated. I didn't have any issues taking apart or putting together then Model 32 I had years ago, just was a huge pain dealing with the hammers/springs without the aid of the compression tool.

And it would be nice to be able to take it apart if I had to in an emergency situation.

HMB- I'm looking for the hammer compression took to disassemble the receiver, not the stock tool. Sorry, should have been clearer.

    I like that

"and while the K80 has a few more pieces in a slightly smaller area, it really doesn't look much more complicated."

I've often thought that the moon landing was just like my bottle rockets, just a little more complicated.

The only disassembly tool I use on my K-80 is a qualified gunsmith. One look inside was all I needed to prevent me from tinkering.

Once you get the tool it is not that bad. I made four of the tools and sold all but one on here. Make sure you have a white cloth and plenty of good light.

If you have Kay video it works fine. Just follow his instructions.

WTW- Any chance you have a drawing with measurements of the tools you made, or would be interested in making more?

I've got a couple ideas on how to make one, but lacking access to a mill at this point, it may be easier for me to just buy one. I found your advert for the ones you sold before, and have saved the pictures, and will probably base mine off of yours if I can't buy one or come up with an easier option.

8 Straight- I'm not looking to tinker. But I do like the option of being able to at least attempt to fix problems on my own in emergency situations if necessary.

I have a Krieghoff smith within 10 minutes of my house, and Ottsville is 5 hours for me, but there may come a time where something breaks at a shoot, and if I can repair the gun on the fly (even if its just a jerry-rig solution to get me through until I can have it fixed properly), it may allow me to finish the shoot, rather then dropping out.

I have a spare trigger group for my kolar, and enough spare parts for it that I can get myself out of almost any jam. Unfortunately no drop out trigger on the K80, but I should be able to accumulate some spare parts for it.

Already learned how to get the top latch off without completely disassembling the action, and it appears I can get the firing pin block out as well without taking the rest of the guts out, if necessary, but I didn't want to attempt that yet.

Ian, I'll send you pics of mine or make you one if you would like. I'll be back in the shop Monday. It's a very simple tool to make.

I DO NOT have any pictures of the factory tool, you'll need to refer to the Kay Ohye video for that.

    Larry- Sending you a PM.
