One of the elders at my club suggested I have work on my doubles barrels from a gunsmith in MI. Kerry Allor

He suggested I have them back bored
    extend forcing cones
    cut in compition chokes
Now I have IM F He suggested i think M IM

My question is this. Didnt K guns already extend thier FC to 1-3/4" ? SO
does it need to be longer? will it effect patterning for the better?

I think of all he suggested, I like the new Comp. Chokes the most.

What do the rest of you think?

    Thank you........................

Why would you do that? To make the barrel worth considerably less money while spending several hundred dollars which includes shipping

Are you an AA shooter now and expect some jump in performance?

Yes Krieghoff has long forcing cones if it is a K80 barrel

    Regards from Iowa

Leave them as is. You will not notice a difference. Worst case, sell these as are and get a C/T barrel. Lots of folks like the original fixed choke barrels and there a fewer of them being made these days.

I'd suggest talking to Kerry Allor first. The man is an acknowledged magician with barrels on par with any..

Have you patterened your barrels with the loads you use and the distances you normally break your doubles?

How many doubles targets a year do you shoot?

If you're doubles scores are A or low AA it might be worth it for you but if you're B or below ???
