I was not watching cartoons in the 1940's but here is a link.

    http://www.krazy.com

Krazy Kat is also listed in the Wikipedia (www.wikipedia.com).

Actually, yes. They ran it on some cartoon stations that I used to watch in Detroit when I was very little (that station would run old clips with newer cartoons on Saturday mornings). I always thought it was really funny.

Go to the webpage and scroll down near the bottom.

I have VHS tapes with these cartoons on them. I bought them at a dollar store when Sara was a toddler (she is now 15), but I bought them for me...not her.

The original Krazy Kat and Ignatz Mouse was way before Beanie and Cecil ("DJ, you dirty guy!") and Magilla. 1930's? I think youtube must have some old videos.

Does anyone remember, "Nov shmoz ka-pop!" or something like that?

I remember them but I never really understood them! The dialig was probably too subtle for me at the time.

Not to digress too far or to steal this post but does anyone remember the Chuck McCann Saturday show where he was Little Orphan Annie and Terry and the Pirates? He had an invisible dog named Lamont. This was supposed to be a children's show but it was the funniest thing I ever saw on TV.

    Porcupine,

It was: " Nava skoszna Pop". It was absolute gibberish and my dad used to say that to me when I would ask him about something he didn't want to tell me.

Flip your kids/grandkids out and have them watch Clutch Cargo, with Spinner and Paddlefoot... those moving lips seem to mesmerize them...

The thing I remember about Krazy Kat was his squared off ears; not pointed like Felix. He reminded me of Bosco.
