I made a barrel weight which fits inside the rib. I made a simple form of 1/4 inch wooden strips tacked to a piece of plywood. I then poured molten lead into the forms. I made 2 of them; one for each side of the rib. When they cooled, I easily fit them inside the detents in the rib, drilled and placed 2 small nuts and bolts through them to hold them in place. In a later version I cast the nut into the weight so that it would be virtually invisible. I then painted them matte black. They look very unobtrusive and do the job.

Since the rib is higher at the breach than at the muzzle, you must pick the point in the rib where you want the weight to go and make it to the dimensions of that place in the rib.

It is much easier than it sounds and only took a few minutes to make.

I had one made by kolarskeet@gmail.com on this site. sminglers is his name I think. It is brass and sits between the barrels not visable when on the gun and forearm is on and high quality check him out.
