Running 10`s in trap sound wasteful to me, a possible 85/100 would pique my interest.
Eventually you must calculate the price of the bird lost/lead lost.
Now if you apply this load to skeet, another story.
    What is your powder?

The lead isn't lost. Just go out to the drop zone and sweep it up and use it again. It's your lead, don't just leave it there. Help keep the environment clean. HMB

I have long used 3/4 oz 12 ga loads for new students, and also for Skeet.

When loaded at 1300+ fps and shot in a Full Choke, they will BOIL a 16 yd target.

At low speed, they give lackluster performance.

I shoot 12 gauge gun all the time. If I want to shoot 20 gauige, I load 1 oz. If I want to shoot 28 ( which I don't have with a release), I load 7/8 oz. If I want to shoot .410, I just throw rocks atum.

    REV,

Do you have a good 1 1/2 oz load for singles and 2 oz. load for caps? I am firmly entrenched in "also ran" category and I have decided I cannot improve, so it may be time to cheat.
