I need some help. I want to take the pad off of a new Ljutic. I need to get the stock cut. I have tried hex, slotted, and philips. I can't get anything to fit. I tried to look into the pad. It looks like it has a square opening. Do any of you know what I might need to get the pad off? Thanks

You need a #2 square (Robertson) bit.

You need to go to Sear's and buy a Tradesman R2 square head driver. This is what fits the head on your screw to remove the pad. This was one of Al's best ideas. No Phillip's, no slotted, a screew that you can tighten with torque and break with torque. Hope this helps, Roy

    Just a suggestion,

Would not an oversized Torx type grab the screw head enough to break it loose and unscrew? Of course, if you do not have a set of Torx wrenches then buy the correct item noted above.
