In July 2012 I posted a pic here of my Grandfather's leather leg-o-mutton case that had some straps badly deteriorated and in need of replacement.

I got a PM from C Prince saying he dabbled in leather work and offered to do the work. I told him I appreciated it and sent him the case.

In September, I asked how the repairs were coming and he said he had an accident and ran a chisel thru the web of his hand.

I waited 3 months and sent a PM to him December 13 and got no response.

I sent another PM on Jan 30 of this year and he responded on Feb 20 that it would be done in 2 weeks. I offered to send him my FedX shipper number.

On July 20 I PM'd him once again and asked that he just send it in whatever stage of repair it was and advise me of costs to include shipping. Nothing so far from Mr Prince....

I hate to involve anyone else but I'm at a loss as to how to get back a case that has a lot of sentimental value to me. Obviously, we're not talking big bucks but I want it back and a year plus has passed. Maybe he has passed away and if so perhaps someone knows who I could contact to effect a return of the case. I'm more than willing to cover any costs associated with the return.

AND, now you really believe him after all this. Why doesn't he just send it back. If you know someone going by San Antonio, Tx
have them stop in and pick it up.

Of course I don't believe him. The man's track record speaks for itself.

There are so many great people on this forum. I've had the opportunity to meet quite a few of them in person. I hate it when someone tarnishes the honest reputation here that so many have tried to keep over the years.

I hope you get your case back and get to where you can trust folks on here again.

I'm guessing you ain't got your case back yet? I've noticed you bumping the thread but no good news to report. What a loser this guy is to have done this.

Sad story. I'll remember this ethically challenged person's name...... Too bad he is too weak to measure up to his own promises.

If he is in the service call the base commander as to where he may be. If he is still at the address you have, take a trip down to see him. Or call the local police station and inquire if he is still listed at the address that you have. Then call the post office he may be guilty of mail fraud. Roger C.
