One possible scenario is that those seeking a ban will scale back their proposal, exempting handguns and rifles, and will accept a total ban on lead shotshells, as the EPA will probably stop short of a total ban.

This has already been discussed on some websites. Unfortunately, what has also been discussed is how it's time for shotgunners to "take one for the team", since in year's past they've thrown other gunowners under the bus. I recall a post here from years past saying semi-auto owners should take one for the team. What goes around will eventually come around.

This is why I've preached unity and total support of ALL gunowners for a long time, and how we need to resist "divide and conquer" tactics.

Brian,,,,you were so right,,,,whenever we look only at what affects us at the moment, those against total firearms banning (and DON'T think for a moment that is not what they are after) just get another notch up the ladder of success....

It's like a sinking boat. Those at the bow are merrily rowing, unconcerned about the ones at the stern who are bailing, when in reality everyone is in deep trouble.
