Rove is an idiot, the reps are probably screwed until the country is brought to it's knees then it is going to be a tough row to hoe, to try to recover

Until you DX the tea party he is right on-- no chance

The Tea Party was responsible for the humbling defeat the most recent presidential election resulted in.

Carl Rove predicted that Romney would win, and you still listen to this guy?

Rove has burned up all his credibility with the establishment Republican party, and is now trying to sweet-talk his way back in. So, throw around some talk about their fave subject, the Tea Party, etc...

Let's see if they're dumb enough to renew his meal ticket and put him back on the payroll.

Again Gene, your full of yourself. All we hear is the congress is about compromise. A man who will compromise his basic principles is lost anyway. He might as well give up. The Tea Party only wants to return us to the original intent of the Constitution. If you believe, as most progressives do, that the Constitution is a living document, in a word, screw you. Go ahead with your usual BS rhetoric. I really don't give a rats ass. Jimmy Borum

I agree with JBBOR that the concept of a "living breathing constitution" is a concept foisted upon us by liberals. The Constitution is to be a benchmark. If the mark keeps moving, we might as well ditch it and start over.

Thankfully there are some judges and justices who believe the Constitution means what it says. Then there are the judges and justices who have - and will continue to - drag a once great nation into oblivion. Clinton & Obama appointments are a prime example.

At the same time, not all Republican appointments are "winners". I'm sure Eisenhower regretted appointing Earl Warren. I forget which Repub appointed Souter (GHWB I think)and he's turned out to be a disappointment - a closet liberal when appointed.

If it is a living, breathing document then our compass will change with the ebb and flow of whoever is in power,,,,,,,,you CANNOT have a stable country what will survive,,,,,,Gene, If you think the TEA party is what lost it for Romney, just go out and vote for tom harkin again and kiss the party goodbye.......

I want to invite all these liberals who believe in a "living, breathing" const. to come and play poker with me using "living, breathing" rules. Sometimes a pair will beat 3 of a kind, and sometimes it won't. Just depends on who is holding the hand.

Karl Rove is probably more responsible for the demise of the Republican party than anybody. I believe he is the one whom convinced George W to become a hybrid between a Dem and a Repub. He called it triangulate. Pass prescription drug coverage so the Dems can't accuse you of wanting to deny Grandma her drugs. Don't veto any spending bills, just go along to get along. Become liberal light, conservative light. All that did is pi** everybody off. It led to the Repubs losing the house in 06, then the White House in 08. The Tea Party he so loves to hate is the reason the Repubs got the House back in 2010.

Go away Rove. Anybody else notice he spells Carl with a K - (Karl) Never could trust somebody like that.

Rove is an idiot. If you cave on your principles then you might as well be a democrat.Rove is trying to change the Rep. party into the Dem. party light.

The Rep. party's only chance is move to a more Libertarian stance.More freedom, fiscally and socially.Get the feds out of our lives.

But for Rove to blame the TEA party for the loss of elections is ridiculous.

The Republicans tried it twice Rove's way, nominating RINOS McCain and Romney both of whom tried to reinvent themselves by choosing conservative running mates. Candidates who couldn't even get their base out because they were very little different than Obama and the Democrats. Well we all know how that worked out. Stop letting the Democrats define what the Republicans need and nominate a true conservative who can effectively communicate their conservative principles. Work between now and the midterm to clean up the voter rolls and require photo ID to vote. If you think the illegals are not voting you are not paying attention. Stop letting Democrats vote in Republican primaries. Talk about self destruction, that is suicide. Don't listen to Rove or the naysayers who tell you the Tea Party was somehow responsible for the loss of the election because it wasn't.

Hey Gene, The humbling defeat was due to the fact that people on welfare are are still allowed to vote. Mike

Maybe the new GOP strategy to win in 2020 is to lose badly in 2012, 2014 and 2016 and let the Dems REALLY screw things up.

Dick Morris got fired as a contributor for Fox News. Guess someone figured out if you are going to pay a pollster and political onsultant, you better be accurate in your polls and predictions. Same applies for Rove.
