K80 did some significant changes in their receiver in the mid 80's and therefore I think these receivers are usually less desireable. What is the cut-off serial number that indiicates those thereafter made that had the modifications?

All the K-80s are up dateable. They changed hammers, hardness of the receivers, widened the ejectors where they hit the impact points, some have hardened inserts where the ejectors hit the receiver, but not all.

The short answer is around 20,000. The Logo receiver basically was the switch.

    I think.

If you have a "Logo" receover and ANY part of it fails or breaks from use - not misuse, Krieghoff will repair it and repalce parts as needed to bring it up to current standards --- at no cost to the current owner.

    its all marketing by dupont

no changes of any significance to the receiver- that is all urban myth

some changes to the ignition systems - mainly because of the different uses by release trigger shooters

The 23,000 serial number and above was said to have all the hammer and sears updates and other internal parts nothing said about recievers by Hal Dupont.

K-80s had several hammer styles and sears styles over the years, most were attempt to make release triggers better by having a better place and style where the hook, hooked on the hammer, angle changes and new hammer styles.
