I have an older k80 with a nickle reciever that needs a complete refinishing. I am asking for opinions on what to do and would appreciate any info on cost. I am intereted in Teflon coating the whole gun, but am not committed to that idea. Will the previous nickle finish on the reciever cause any problems or can they just blast it off? Thanks.

    Gene,
this is my first k80. Just not sure what to do with it. Not sure I want to go through getting it renickled. I kinda like the blue black recievers. What to you suggest and who? My emails above.

Jimmy, have you considered having silver nitrided? I think Krieghoff does that, and it is a pretty durable finish.

Have you considered sending it to Krieghoff Intl. in Ottsville,Pa. Have the factory refinish to the original specs. Bulge.

    Jimmy,

I agree with BarrelBulge. I'd send it to Krieghoff in Ottsville and have them refinish it. Bring it back like factory new! Plus I think an aftermarket finish will depreciate the value of your K-gun.

    Shoot safely, well and often,
    Tom
