16 years ago the price for a K-80 Crown from Ottsville with one set of O/U barrel's was $36,900 dollars. I have a pic of the gun and hang tag in the PA. showroom . Jeff

it is hard to say with an item like that---- they are nice guns and that engraving pattern is recognized as something special

The price is whatever someone will pay for it-

The range of that in this case is pretty wide--and people might argue but I do know one that sold for 14 thousand recently--

    so my range????? $14,000 - $23,000

Serial number means very little with the highly engraved guns

This is the first K80 Crown Grade combo I have ever seen. This K80 must be scarce. I looked every were on the net and can't find one. K32 Crowns but no K80 Crowns. I found a few Krieghoff Reich edition grades simular engraving pattern with gold inlays $52,995.00 and $64,995.00.

This gun has nothing in oommon with a Reich engraved gun. This is a very nice gun and is worth a good amount of money but to compare this to a Reich engraved gun is not appropriate. Your friend is in the correct ball park if he is asking 18-20k.

IMHO the new " Crown grades" are really custom grades. All K-32 Crowns were similar and up to about 7 years ago so were the K-80 Crowns. With some inspection you may find this gun to be engraved by Reich. About the time this gun was done Gerhardt Reich had started engraving . His father Anton was possibly still engraving for Kreighoff at this time also. If Dupont had this gun he would ask $40,000. IMHO. Jeff

I was also told by Pacfic sports in Calf there are a ton of fake K32 out there. Be careful when buying K32 Crown Grades.
