A friend of mine, at our club, might sell his K-80 to another friend and wants to be fair with the sale price. He asked me about the value but I really don't want to be the deciding person in the negotiations. The gun is an older model with the K-80 logo on the side, probably from when Mel Hunting was the importer. It has a release trigger, 30" O/U and 32" unsingle barrels. Good shape. Any suggestions from knowing people on here would be appreciated.

Ed. You know as well yourself-just not wanting to give the owner the news. Not a good sellers market and that's not going to get a premium. Oh well,Do what you want and move on. Hope everyone's happy at the end of the day.

Thanks for the input. The potential seller has health issues and is probably done shooting. The potential buyer just last week had his two trap guns stolen from his home so this is a perfect match up. I'm sure that neither would like to take advantage of the other. Just looking for FMV.

What year was it made. What condition is the gun in. Does it need work or rebuilding? All this sets the price.

The fellow probably hasn't shot it for 5 years, due to poor health, but it was in good shape when he stopped.

I paid $5500.00 for mine. 32" sporting barrels, then I had to get it rebuilt by Krieghoff, that cost me another $1600.00.

5,000 to 6,000 is fmv getting hard to sell the old stuff as the new hi rib guns are the rage now so prices are low along with the bad economy.
