    I am looking to buy a K-80.
I have noticed that the Logo Receiver guns
are priced considerably lower than the standard receiver.
Are they not as desirable as a Standard Grade K-80?
Are they not built as well?
    What years were they manufactured?
What's the history of the Logo Receiver?
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

The logo receivers are not nearly as desirable. There have been a number of updates to the K80 design, including sear springs and at least 3 different generations of hammers. The newer the better when it comes to K80, and the logo receivers are the oldest K80 receivers out there. I would expect a logo receiver to bring 75-80% of a scroll receiver.

The K-80 warranty stands behind the "logo" receiver just like it does the others with the added benefit that if the older style sers springs and/or hammers break -- during normal use -- Krieghoff in Ottsville will replace them under the warranty. You don't need to be the original owner!

I'll repeat that --- free up-grade if and when they break --- and you don't need to be the original owner.

You don't need to be afraid of a "logo" receiver.

I have a logo receiver and do not notice a difference in the way it shoots compared to a newer model. Buy the gun if the price is right, it is in good repair and it fits. Actually, I like the look and feel of the Model 32 units more than the newer logo or K80's. They all work and keep on firing.

To me the logo was an ugly thing. I would rather have a blank receiver then have K 80 in big letters and numbers on the side.

Had one, so I set up a new doubles gun with it. Had Kerry Allor go thru it and I actually like the triggers better then my newer one. Pull/Pull.
