1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

17145 Just a curiosity but why would need a smaller one as apposed to the standard one that comes on it?

    ivanhoe,

I have found that the smaller front bead that "Chris Vendel" makes and sells keeps me from looking back at the front sight.

I know that this is a small problem for some, but for others it is a problem.

Ron Burdick You have to understand I never see the bead. So in my mind it doesn't register and I am curious as to why someone would need it. If this is the reason thats fine but not knowing for sure makes me wonder that all.

Here again that is your answer, just wondering if it is the only answer. The other gentleman may have a different answer therefore the reason I asked.

On a K80 you can actually use a small set of needlenose pliars and pull the big plastic white bead out of the metal socket. You can then dab a small dollop of Whiteout into the area where the BIG bead used to be and then try it. I did that and decided I wanted the small bead from Vendel. Be advised that your functional POI will change since the bead is slightly 'lower' than it used to be. The guns 'actual' POI won't change however. The gun will shoot a slight bit higher.

I do not know about fitting itno the channel, I ordered them for a K-80 combo and never installed the one on the O/U barrels, I will look and see if I can tell without opening the package

HI-Viz makes a site base that sits down in the wide K-80 rib...

The factory bead on the K-80 is as big as a balloon, I've got Hi-Viz sights and I would like something smaller yet.

atraphead, I dont want to go with Hi-Viz sights. A friend of mine had his K-80 bead changed out at the Wisconsin State Shoot, the gunsmith charged him $60.00 to change the front sight. I'm just trying to avoid that outrageous labor fee, I understand that gunsmiths at the "big shoots" have you at thier mercy, but changing the front sight is a job I can do myself.
