    Just realize, I haven

...in close to two months, and I'm not missing it at all. Been busy waterfowling in September, crow hunting in early September, and now pheasants with my setter. I've shot a little bit of skeet during that time, but haven't been near a trap field and have no desire to be.

People that are not competitive (or never were) trapshooter's always manufacture reasons (excuses) for not shooting trap.

I went 3 weeks without shooting a target 6 weeks ago while I licked my wounds from a healthy butt kicking in mid Sept at a fair sized shoot when I had a bad day worthy of record books. I was about to start shaking from the lack of shooting so I've shot about 2000 birds since early October to make up for my lapse. I can't stay away from it long, its like therapy to me.

Nice to know there is hope for a recovery from this addiction of busting clays. I make feeble attempts to keep the sickness from having its way with me, but if a week goes by and I haven't said pull a few hundred times, I do start to get a little shakey.

I do have to make that choice between quail hunting and trap a couple of times per week ... the dogs aren't impressed with the outcome about half the time.

Slick the question that comes to mind is; what made you feel a need to share the fact that you haven't missed shooting trap? Furthermore what makes you think anyone cares?

Been meaning to come back and see the replies to my post, but kept forgetting about it. Nice to see the replies, and be reminded by a lot of them why I don't miss shooting trap! You meet the nicest people, right?!

Reason for my post, I dunno, I just realized I hadn't shot trap in a while, don't miss it, actually feel mentally healthy after taking a step back from the game, and wanted to express my happiness. That is all.

I'll be thinking of you grumpy old farts when I'm out hunting in a couple hours. Here's hoping you drop the last target at your next shoot, so your weekend is ruined. ;-)

So using "Slick's" line of thinking, should i go to Jose Cuervo's website and tell them i'm not drinking their Tequila anymore and don't miss it??

I bet he sucks at hunting too and will soon be quitting it as well. Quitters tend to be that way with everything they do.
