My IPhone gave a Breaking News update that said 24 killed in Joplin. St. John's Regional Medical Center was supposedly hit.

    Many prayers are needed.

It was showing live coverage on the Weather Channel.....pretty nasty.....the hospital looked like a bomb hit it. Everything around it is gone, looks like a huge landfill.

Oh my gosh watching the news this morning of the tornado that hit in Joplin. They have reported at least 89 dead now. The destruction is as if it was bombed. I can't believe the destruction. The helicopter in the hospital parking lot is unidentifiable. My thoughts and prayers go out to all who live there and/or have family there. I'm shocked.

Prayers sent to people in the area.

By the way, does anyone know if the White Flyer plant was affected?

My prayers go out to them. This kinda puts all our petty little gripes, complaints and arguments here on TS.Com in perspective doesn't it.

    Amen, Chip, Amen....

I spoke to a friend of mine and his daughter was at the hospital and there was at least one patient that was sucked out a window....

Death toll has now risen to 122 according to their city manager. This is one of the deadiest single tornado disasters in history. It will take that region a long time to recover from this. It will likely never be the same. This has been a very deadly year for tornadoes already and the season has just begun.
