    I would suggest building a 6' high fence around your Cacticus, use cement blocks.

    They could dig thru or under a normal chain link fence, Cement blocks will stop them.

    .44 caliber boolits will stop them too.

    The only way I've ever managed to keep either javelina or bunnies from eating my more expensive cactus is to fence them away from it. They're welcome to the prickly pear and cholla out front.

    They even picked Trichocereus terschecki out of the pots out front. Bastards.

    When the Q used to have their wild game feed, the pulled pork javelina was delicious.

    But then Chuck could make a rack taste good.
