Jack La Lane passes at 96. What a man. I one watched as he towed 8 rowboats with his teeth, while hand cuffed at the wrists and ankles, from Alcatraz to San Francisco. Over a mile in the cold Grey water. The man was a witness to healthy living.

God said " It is appointed once for man to die, and then the judgement" No one has gotten out of here alive yet! He appears to be right about the die part, I would say that means he is right about the judgement part too. Something to think about.

A very fortunate person, free of genetic proclivities to poor health, and wie enough to take advantage of the fact.

But, as said, He died anyway. Just like Eull Gibbons the tree eater.

You have to hand it to the man. He really knew what he was talking about.

And better yet, he lived it. He didn't just voice it.

Its bad enough we are all going to die, but to die healthy just don't make no sense ... Clean living, hell you got to get dirty every once in a while to appreciate some things about life and living ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Amazing how many of the things he preached are pretty much accepted everyday now, well except for that jumpsuit. LOL

When I was in high school in Southern California
from 1955 to 1957, I worked out watching Jack on
TV. He sure knew how to motivate people. He was
an example for all of us.

What a great man, and someone that lived by what he preached. I always kind of gage people by how well they do what they say they're going to do, and he always did!

He made 96 and that's a good life for anyone.

I used to watch him on TV when I was a kid in the 50's. He always did some stunt on his birthday and I remember the towing of the row boats across from Alcatraz. I think that was around 1965? when he was 50 years old. Or maybe it was 1975 when he was 60. I know I was amazed!

He was some kind of man.

The world is not a better place without him.

Lalanne was a good guy who practiced what he preached.

My favorite Lalanne quote was from an interview with him and his wife about 10 years ago. The guy interviewing them sheepishly said, "You're well into your 80s but still seem active and vigorous. Do you mind if I ask... do you still have sex?" Jack replied, "Do I have sex? -- ALMOST EVERY DAY!" The interviewer said, "Wow, really?!" Jack answered, "Yep -- almost on Monday, almost on Tuesday, almost on Wednesday..."

I suspect Jack had used that joke about a hundred times before.

The quote I always remember from Jack was his response when asked about healthy eating. He said "The short answer is, if it tastes good - spit it out!"

Probably good advice but pretty hard to do.
