Jeff Holguin, member of the US Army Marksmanship Unit, won the Bronze at the World Cup Final shot saturday in Beijing, China. Jeff was tied for the lead going into the final with the two Chinese shooters; Junjie Mo and Binyuan Hu (bronze medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics). All three shooters had 144 scores going into the 50 target final, but when the dust settled Hu and Holguin were tied for Silver and had to shoot off with Hu coming out in sudden death when Jeff missed his second target of the second pair. So Junjie Mo won Gold with total of 189, Hu got the Silver with 186+4 and Jeff came away with the Bronze with a total of 186+3. Shooting conditions were brutally cold and windy making for low scores in the final. Francesco D'aniello (Italy's 2008 Olympic Silver medalist) finished fourth with a score of 183, Sweeden's Haken Dahlby came in fifth shooting 181, with Russell Mark of Australia finishing in 6th at 176.
