This past weekemd, I traded a Fox for a Ithaca, did not dry fire, and when I got it home I fired it with snap caps, and it appears to have a non working safety. My question is what does it cost to do safety work? I guess its 'buyer be ware' at the gun shows but I guess I just attended my last show.

The question is, what kind of Ithaca? i.e.- older single trap?

Double sxs Damascus barrels appear to be very clean barrels, great wood possible a class 2 Flues, serial number 2389x. I plan on taking to gun smith for check before using but it seems the safety does not work. I did not dry fire out of consideration for pins? My mistake.
