1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

This is a nice gun gentlemen. The birds are gold not silver, color washed out in photo. If I did not have a 5e trap gun already I would be all over this one. Very nice price for what you see here. Bill

This makes my 1929 NID 20 ga. look like scrap wood... the only difference is...to me... I watched my Dad take that gun from a bit of hard use to a thing of "Beauty" !!! I wish I knew how to post pictures, but trust me, my Dad's lil' 20 means more to me than any gun I own. The NID's are Wonderful !!!

These Ithaca's are not easy to come by, and drexel's 5E is an exceptionally clean gun and fairly priced. This is my 4E that was made in 1946

    Bill,

I think you should start another display cabinet. Nothing wrong with owning two of these.

Ithaca put out some really nice work back then. Jon

Bill---the earlier NID Grade 5's had silver inlays. They changed to gold after a few years. I had a 1928 5-E 28 bore with silver inlays. You can see pictures of it in the Winter 2000 Double Gun Journal pages 44 and 45. This 12 bore is a nice early 5-E NID.

Boomer, Ya I know that. I talked to Guy on the phone and he told me birds were gold. By the way I have bought and sold guns to Guy, He is a stand up person to deal with. Regards, Bill

My mistake on the inlays. I looked at them this morning and they are Silver. The serial number is in the 439,000 range.

The drop at heel is 1 3/4".
