The people who had the Italian Sausage trailer at the Grand in Vandalia, opened a sandwich shop on Wayne Ave. in Dayton about a year ago. I believe their sandwiches are better from their new shop than it was at the Grand. If that is possible.

I lived in Philly and used to go to The Italian Market for sausage. This guy had as good. One day in Vandalia, I commented to him that I could feel my low blood sugar (I'm diabetic) and asked if he had OJ. He did not but he gave me a donut that he said he kept for such occasions and refused to take any money. I always got sandwiches from him after that.

gmag, I'm half Italian hence the bent nose,no neck and being verticaly challenged. I'd agree a Maxwell st. polish is good if you like them but keep in mind we had the stock yards here. Your pizza? Thin crust I trust? anchovies My italian roots are from Norther Italy so I'm a purist sausage and mushroom

I traveled between NYC and Boston extensively, when I was working. I just loved the sausage vendors in both towns. That was until one of my clients told me that I was eating evidence. That's right, evidence of Mafia hits! It's never been the same since.

    Boys, girls,

    It's not Italian Sausage.....

    It's S A L C I S S A (pronounced sa-zeet-za).....................Capish?

So...Mangiare (pronounced man-ja-dee), or let's eat, as my mom would say.

You guys talkin' redneck to those guys may be the reason they don't show up anymore, ever think of that?

    lol,

    milt
