Guys -- I believe there has been an objection over the choice of names (Infinity) by a high-end pistol manufacturer geared toward USPSA/IPSC competitions. Strayer/Voigt has made the line of "Infinity" pistols since the very early '90's, and just like DeVaults premium shotgun, their pistols are the standard by which all others are judged. Google Strayer/Voigt or SVI Infinity and you'll see wat I mean!

Rich Redovian -- (extremely pleased with my SVI pistols and my newly acquired Infinity shotgun - #210) --- Cody, WY

So there isn't room for an Infinity Shotgun and an Infinity pistol in our marketing world?

Noticed the car is spelled 'Infiniti'. Also noticed the copyright is dated 2009 on the pistol site.

Just call it the InfinityShotgun, one word.

Joe --- SVI started using the name "Infinity" for it's pistols in 1994, and I'm guessing registered it as a trademark then. Haven't a clue what Dennis will call it now but one would think there is room for an InfinityShotgun name in our small world!

We have Beretta, Browning, Alferman, Seitz, Bowen, Perazzi et. al. that are the name of the manufacturer,,,,I vote for "DeVault",,,,has a nice ring of strength to it.....

I agree why not use your own name if you believe in your product just like Henry Ford did a few years ago.
Ok I don't know about the others like Chevrolet and Dodge if they used their names or not.
Maybe call it the De'Vault Inlinanator

    Foggy,

It was Louis Chevrolet, Horace Dodge, Walter Chrysler to name a few. Dennis should seriously think about calling the Infinity the De Vault Mach 2.

It's astonishing that a company would rename a product without doing a trademark search.

Any company is as good as the worst contractor you use. Dennis is no fool. I'm willing to bet the lawyer he used to research the trade mark & registered name screwed up. If I was Dennis I would go after the lawyer & hope the lawyer has errors & omissions insurance.

Dennis has been a regular poster on here. I figure he will be on here shortly to clarify.

I agree that DeVault would be a great name. After all, Dennis did win the GAH so the name carries weight in the shooting as well as the gun-making idiom.

Wrong Dennis as far as the GAH--the guy who won the GAH was Dennis DeVaux. Dennis DeVault; however, did win the Western Grand Singles Championship,@ Las Vegas.

    Just for information purposes.

The trade name search I did took all of one minute - I spent more time copying and pasting it into my posting.
