I remember when Clinton came in to the office and then we had WACO. To alot of people it was the BATF saying we are now unleased and going after you. They again ran wild doing what they wanted. With Obama is it going to be the same? Are we going to have a knock or a pound on the door and is it going to be the BATF? I'm sorry to say but only time will tell.

given that he has reneged on just about everything and is beginning to sound more like McCain since they started briefing him,, maybe JUST maybe he may have a little more going for him than clinton who had nothing..

Our sneaky, slimy anti-gun foes will probably attempt to place a rider and/or attachment to the fiscal help bills. A back door attempt at gun control...

My guess is that he'll be another Carter - well-meaning, but double digit inflation, double-digit unemployment, and no clue on foreign policy.

Obama is looking like a dog who has actually caught the car. That is why he is appointing all the Clinton retreads. He doesn't know much, know very many people or know what to do. The first black Paris Hilton.

His plate is full, and he has no idea how to solve the problems facing this country. But, then no one else does either.

Obama, I believe, will be worse than Carter on the economy and worse than Nixon as for truthfulness; most people are riding on hope (as I hope I'll win the lottery) and lack of substance. I'm too old to fall for this. Obama has an unknown past and I'm suspicious of this. What has this guy done prior to winning an election to provide some substance as to what, other than being a big liberal, has he done? Can't believe no one seemed to care to ascertain what he has accomplished. I hope I'm wrong but I'm braced for the bumpy ride. BT-100dc

The media will pander to Obama. He is just going to recklessly throw money at everything hoping to fix the problem. This kind of money in Washington politians hands means corruption at a scale we have never seen before. It will all catch up to them and the sad part is our children and the next generations to come will pay dearly for this sweet talking con-artist.

If you look at the all the answers above, they all appear to be correct except Hydra's hypothesis. I've stated all along that they might do small incremental feel good steps at controlling firearm's supposed excesses (ala assault weapons) But any real incursion into controlling and registering legal gun owners will back lash on them at the polls in two years. And Pocatello, I tink I see signs more of "deflation" than "double-digit infaltion" coming. I feel it all over my corner of the industrial world.

One more time...Join the NRA! We need numbers people! I also got to believe the Dems have noticed the AR's going off the shelves like candy. The Ammunition Certification Bill would be the easiest to pass with most damage done to gun owners. Write your congressman!

If inflation is running 10% per year and you are earning 10% interest, what is your dollar actually worth at the end of the year?

MIA, the reason I see inflation even though prices are not strong now is Obama's statement about years of trillion dollar deficits coming. Pretty soon the rest of the world will get weary of financing our deficits and the dollar will inflate like we have not seen since Carter. I hope we don't become another Zimbabwe, or post WWI Germany, but it could happen.
