Can't find a new one anywhere. Some dealers seem to think they aren't going to make it anymore. Anyone have any information? thanks, Dale

It seems to appear so. They have close out pricing on barrels on their site. I just found a pair of 682 Gold (non E), and grabbed them.

The 692 is the current generation, so they'll likely be discontinuing the 682 shortly, if they haven't already.

Yes, new gun in Spring. It is a 692. It looks very good and getting great reviews. This will probably be my next purchase.

Yes, but, remember....given inflation, money-exchange issues, etc. a manufacturer has to cut costs to keep the same price point....or, heavily market new-fangled worthless gizmos as selling points to justify the inevitable price increases.....

New is not necessarily "better"...... I bet it will be more expensive!

The 682 is proven.....we will see with the 692.....

P.S. By the way, Beretta prices are increasing up to 10% after Jan 1st.

TBD if there is improvement over the 682. The Beretaa MO is to justify change by citing manufacturing cost.

IMHO, the ASE was a much better gun than then DT-10. And the 682 Greystone was the peak model for the 682.

Nevertheless, Beretta competition guns are a very good value, maybe the best bang for the buck.

I have older 682 pre grey stone ---what made the greystone a peak model --same reciver with a grey coating.---the new 692 have 14" forcing cones wider reciver( like the old 680 had)& I think the same triggers as the 682s. If you do a search you will find some info.

Ill say it again, why not ditch the bbl shoulders altogether on the 692?
they look like they serve no purpose anyhow..
680 series is like the rock in the Beretta line, silly to even mess with that.

I have heard from two dealers about the change. There are still 682 Gold E's out there for sale. The DT-11 Trap is supposed to come out in the Spring.

I called BerettaUSA and they didn't know anything about discontinuing the Gold E but suggested it would be a silly move with the popularity of the Gold E. They also said they had heard this rumor for a couple of years now. We shall see.
