It's one of the best organizations that you can belong to. You would be shocked at how many trapshooters are masons. Myself, Randy and our dad are all members. Earnie Ross III

My father was a Mason when he was alive and I always remember him talking about it allot. I have done a little research and of course there is positive and negitive stuff about the Masons. Probably the bad stuff is from our liberals! Anyway, I was wondering about some experiences ya'll may have had with the Masons.

Piddy----As usual, you are full of it. Don't think that you have any idea about the things you spout.

I promised my grandfather I would jump through the initiation hoops to be brought into the fold be a mason (which he was for 30 plus years) once I got out of the service but he didn't live that long and I learned nothing else about it after losing my mentor

    41 years, joined at 21.

ROA, Mt. Rushmore Lodge 220, and Gray Lodge (Houston), NOMS, past Air Patrol Commander.

PIDDY: You are clueless, you must have been black-balled at one time.

It's one of the finest organization of brotherly belonging anyone could ever ask for. Their *similar* counterpart is the KOC, but I am not a KOC, so I have no facts to substantiate this.

There are MANY of us on this site who are Masons and Shriners. Ever hear of the Shrine Burn Institutes? I suspect according to PIDDY these are a fig newton of our imaginations.

A gun was used? What the heck is this all about? There's no gun in this. This is great seeing all this *stuff* that is senseless. It's kinda like Chicken Little and "The Sky is Falling!" HA! Sit back and listed to the nay-sayers, disbelievers, and uninformed.

WPT - I figured you had to be one, thankfully!

Hi, Jim - long time no hear from you.

As you, I shall be buried with an apron. My mom was burined as an Eastern Star and their ceremony was a tear jerker. My father was an honorary potentate of Wyoming and Charter Member of the ROJ.

Wished he'd been alive when I finished my 3rd.

The info is out there, but let me tell you right now you will not find Freemasonry in a book but there are some very interesting stories about Civil War soldiers on both sides of the line that were members of the craft. Go to the video store and rent "The Man who would be King"
