Has any one else seen this movie? I am a sucker for both Nazi and Tarantino films so I made a rare appearance at the movie theater. I usually wait for Netflix and watch at home. As advertised the movie is quite farsical but I did enjoy it. The German actor that plays the SS Colonel (known as the jew hunter)does a fantastic job. As usual we get a long close up of a womens foot. Whats with that in so many of the Tarantino films? I give this movie a thumbs up.

One of the better war flicks recently! Not Pvt Ryan quality, but good. Still wondering about the scar on Pitt's neck.....no explanation in the film.

Curt, AH would appear in an early scene. Remember him walking the dog(s)?

Hitch always had a walk by in all his films.

    BUT BUT ---------

I must disagree as to Inglorious Bestards -- I thought the pic was a piece of crap ---I was going to say sh*t but that would be too crud.

Now Defient was a great picture.

My wife and I saw it last week, we too found it gripping. There were several cameios by actors including Julia Dryfeus(sp). Does anyone know which female character she played? Or was it a different Dryfeus? Thanks Joe

I heard it was a little short on historical accuracy,,,,esp. regarding Hitler's death

The only way you can enjoy the movie is to have an understanding of the sick frick Tarrantino, the movie is a tribute to himself and not a very good one, it is a spoof on WWII and the Holocaust specializing on a degree of extreme violence, (the scalping of Nazi's and the baseball batting by the "Jewish Bear").

Not a very good movie, maybe a 4 out of 10...

8 out of 10 if you are a Tarrantino freak...

Truth always blows away fiction-Just saw Defiance- I have to agree with Mike, Inglorious Basterds isn't close.

hitchcocck's trademark was to appear in the film in some small walk on or crowd scene. It's fun looking for him!

Each to their own taste. I give it and District 9 both a thumbs down. The only thing I enjoyed about this movie was the young lady that played the role of the theater owner.

On the other hand I thought All About Steve was so-so

But I give The Proposal a thumbs up

Sandra Bulluck (spelling ?) was in both

Does the above give you any idea what I like to see in a film ?
