Anybody used one of the newer Redfield Revolution scopes? Stores seem to talk them up, looking for real world info. Needing a good scope to put on my boys new deer rifle.

    thanks,
    Chad

I bought the 4x12....it seems to be a very clear scope, and I like the fact that it is made here in Oregon...and it also has a good warranty...I got mine for $175.00...I think that a great deal.

If I remember correctly they are made in the same factory as Leupold using most of the same processes.

Leupold did buy out Redfield. I don't care who makes Redfield I will and will only buy Leupold.

They actually are the VX-1 line with a matted finish..same Leupold lifetime warranty of repair/replace ...I have a 2x-7x-33mm on my 308 Marlin Express..only $135 and its as good as any Leupold of VX-I or VX-II glasswise...and it is 100% USA

Just curious, are the new redfields offered with the old widefield lens or just the traditional round lens.

When it comes to optics, you get what you pay for. A medium grade scope will run $500-1000. So you see what $175 will buy. Go to accurateshooter.com if you want the run down on any scope.
