Found some info at above site:

"Eclipse Gun Company is a name found on belgium manufactured double barrels from around the turn of the century until about the time of WWI. the actual manufacturer was Henri Pieper. pieper made these guns marked Eclipse Gun Co. solely for export to the u.s.a. most of the large wholesale and mail order gun companies. carried them in their catalogs. in the 1907 catalog issued by iver johnson sporting goods co. of boston there are two pages that show six different Eclipse double barrel models listings.
prices range from $13.50 up to $60.00 (1907 dollars)"

    and

"Maker Henri Pieper (later known as Anciens Establissment Pieper) was located in Leige, Belgium. The importer in the U.S. was E.C. Mecham Arms Co of St. Louis,MO.
World War One, The Great War or The War To End All Wars (choose one) stopped exports from Belgium. A word of caution. Belgian made guns of this period had damascus barrels
designed for black powder ammunition. "

    and a comment on value:

"In poor condition, 75 to 100 as a wall decoration"

and on using serial numbers to learn mfr date:

"Most old Belgian shotguns don't have a serial number, and even if so, there are no records to tell you when made."

I have one of these old guns. Owned by my great grandfather. I am eighty. Family claims it was purchased about 1878. I actually shot it in early forty's.

Neat gun Joe. They make great display pieces. I have a couple myself. I pulled the firing pins so as to prevent anyone from shooting modern ammunition in them.
