Two things to update everyone on about the Indiana Trapshooters Association:

    1) The BOD voted to keep our target prices for the 2008 Indiana State Shoot the same as last year - $26.

    2) The ITA is starting to get a website together. Thankfully, I am not in charge of it anymore, otherwise it would probably never get updated! New ATA member, Ryan Clark (from the Indianapolis area), has stepped up and volunteered his time for the site. In doing some light work (I had been holding Ryan back in lieu of needing to get a BOD vote), he has already compiled a google map of almost all ITA member clubs with the exact position and contact information for the club. Ryan is currently missing the location information for the following clubs:

Bogard
Oaktown
White River
Henry County

Any help for the location of these clubs would be appreciated. You can e-mail Ryan using the link on the website.

Also, we are putting the finishing touches on the state shoot program and as soon as we receive a final PDF of the program, we will post it.

    Thanks,

    John Voliva

    John,

I'm sorry to say that Henry County is closed and sold about 3 years ago.

White River is closed and the equipment sold after Bob Snyder passed, seems like about two years ago.

Good to see IN now has a website again. Hopefully this new webmaster isn't from Purdue and will keep it updated!

Bogard/Odon gun club is out there where the Hoot Owls screw the chickens. I've been there a time or two, but for the life of me I can't tell you how to get there.

They do have one heck of a game shoot the night before Thanksgiving!

Jason -- Big words coming from a IU-graduating, skeet-shooting, drug pusher...

Always remember - Hoosier by birth, Boilermaker by grace of God.

Also, my new favorite Purdue T-shirt...

You can't spell stupid without IU!

Hoping to make it up to Atterbury sometime soon...

Good catch on the PU in that word as well ec90t!

Hope all is well John, looking forward to warm weather and trap targets myself.

What's that joke about the difference between porcupines and Mackey Arena??

The GPS coordinates for the Oaktown, IN club are:

    N 38.858791
    W 87.450210

Drop those numbers in an aerial mapping program and you will see the two trap fields.

JB -- I thought it was going to be a "new" joke -- or at least some sort of Boilermaker related joke -- that one is right up there with "What do say to the ____ grad?"

Tumble -- thanks.. Ryan got that updated about 5 hours ago. I just e-mailed him about White River, so the list/map should be good to go...

    Thanks!

We have been kicking around some ideas for the site which we should start implementing within the next month... is there anything in particular you guys (and gals) would like to see?

Most important a thorough list of shoot dates and as much info about the shoot as possible (i.e. start time & program).

John, "What do you say to a Purdue grad?" Let me guess - "give me the pizza and get off my front porch".

Purdue is for people who couldn't get into Ivy Tech.

Speaking of IU football, what happened with Kellen Lewis? Paper gave no details.

And IU is where high school dropouts go to complete their GEDs...

As for KL -- you will probably never know. Whenever it is "internal" and a violation of team rules, the whole place become leak proof. My guess is that he will be back for the summer practices...

Remember, the LSU QB had the same thing happen. I can guarantee he will be back next fall.

JB -- shoot dates and times will be the next priority. Give it about a month or so. Does anyone have a real want to see results posted to the site, outside the the Indiana Zone and Indiana State Shoots?

    Thanks,

    John
