Here are a few pics that I snapped throughout the shoot. We were there Saturday and Sunday. Had fairly hot weather, but the breeze at times helped a bit. I had a mediocre weekend, but my dad shot really well. Tied for 1st in A class singles and ended up 3rd in the shootoff, and was runner up in the overall Handicap after the shootoff. He gained 2 yards in two weeks.

RESIDENT CHAMPION JINES ROBERT W 98
RESIDENT RUNNER UP SCHOLLE WILLIAM E 97
    RESIDENT 3RD PLACE HARVEY GEORGE F 97
    RESIDENT 4TH PLACE LUNSFORD V TANK 97
    RESIDENT 5TH PLACE CHRISTMAN DAVID E 97
    RESIDENT 6TH PLACE KING STEPHEN C 97

If anyone wants the fullsize images, just shoot me an e-mail. I also took a little video, and I will post that on here later.

Did this event get any coverage in the Indianapolis Star? Were any press releases issued? Was any press copy drafted? Was this event advertised in the Indy area to draw spectators?

    smoking357,

The state shoots are hardly ever spoken of in the newspapers or tv for that matter. It's just not a big enough sport to warrent any sort of coverage.

I did see a newscast several years ago where they talked about "skeet" shooting and was showing "trap".

Short Shucker, the Star is pretty thin, these days. They'd probably welcome some copy. If you give them some press ready material, they might edit it and print it. The evening news is also pretty thin. Does the media get sent any credentials for the event? Exposure can only help. They might ignore you until they don't.
