    With all the anti-American sentiment in the world, why do we want so many immigrants to come to the USA?

    How many other "wealthy" countries are accepting immigrants and in what numbers?

    What must immigrants do to immigrate to other countries?

    If the USA is so 'awful', what do other countries offer for immigration packages?

    Why is world immigration the problem of the USA only?

    What does the USA gain by accepting immigrants that qualify for welfare?

    Should not the USA offer educational and upward programs to every natural born citizen (regardless of age) for betterment of the USA before importing more dependent immigrants?

    Why shouldn't a natural born citizen taxpayer be offered a career change plan to better themselves (perhaps in the form of self improvement grants for people stuck in nowhere careers) and climb the ladder with benefits and support before bringing in foreign opportunists?

    Why should America's hard working youth (and/or their parents) be forced to juggle work and college and social life in an exhaustive effort when immigrants receive ease of living benefits upon arriving and can have family and college benefits?

    Just asking..

    What America gains is negative.

    What the democrats gain are 11 million new democratic voters that ensure they will be the dominant party. That will assure losses in personal liberty, increases in welfare/food stamp roles, higher taxes, few good jobs, more crime (which always leads to more laws and more union police officer to enforce them), fewer small businesses,......

    In short order, the democrats see this as an easy way to hire 11 million voters and pay for them with the tax dollars from real Americans who actually work for a living. And, there is significant evidence to believe that when they include all of the families of illegals and those who have returned home, but might return the number could be 33 million.

    When you figure that 126 million people voted in the 2012 presidential election adding 5-10 million votes is very significant statistically.

    Actually I know some of the answers. Germany has stated that muticuluralism does not work. UK has its own mega immigration problems that we hear of now and then.

    I used to know why people used to want to live in the USA but now I think their reasons have changed, at least for some.

    Receieved this in email a few days ago. Interesting.

    In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a Scottish history professor at the
    University of Edinburgh, had this to say about the fall of the
    Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: "A democracy is always
    temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent
    form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until
    the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous
    gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority
    always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from
    the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally
    collapse over loose fiscal policy, (which is) always followed by a
    dictatorship."

    "The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the
    beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200
    years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

    From bondage to spiritual faith;
    From spiritual faith to great courage;
    From courage to liberty;
    From liberty to abundance;
    From abundance to complacency;
    From complacency to apathy;
    From apathy to dependence;
    From dependence back into bondage."
    The Obituary follows:

    Born 1776, Died 2012

    It doesn't hurt to read this several times. Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the last Presidential election:

    Number of States won by: Obama: 19 Romney: 29
    Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 Romney: 2,427,000

    Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million Romney: 143 million
    Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 Romney: 2.1

    Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory
    Romney won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens
    of the country.

    Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in
    low income tenements and living off various forms of government
    welfare..."

    Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the
    "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of
    democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population
    already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

    If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million
    criminal invaders called illegals - and they vote - then we can say
    goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

    If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message.

    If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how
    much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our
    freedom..

    Very interesting. We are as a Nation, a Representative Republic, where each individual is sovereign, not a democracy although we hold democratic elections to choose our elected officals. A country can be a democracy and have a benevolent dictator, in the Representative Republic we can not have a dictator.

    That is not to say we don't suffer some of the ills mentioned above.

    Maybe the "plan" is to eventually make it not worthwhile to come here at all.

    "What does the USA gain by accepting immigrants that qualify for welfare"?Democrat voters.

    "Should the USA offer education and upward programs to every natural citizen for the betterment of the USA before importing more dependent immigrants".No this country was built on self reliance not government programs.No we should not allow more dependent immigrants.

    "Why shouldn,t a natural born taxpayer be offered career change plan to better himself[perhaps in the form of self improvement grants form people stuck in nowhere careers] and climb the ladder with benefits and support before allowing in foreign opportunists"?No this country was built on competition.Foreign opportunists were not a problem but an asset.It is foreigners that don't seek righteous opportunity that are the problem.

    "Why should America's hard working youth and or their parents be expected to juggle work and college and social lifeIn an exhaustive effort when immigrants receive ease of living benefits upon arriving and have family and college benfits".They shouldn't get any benefits upon arriving.However we have enough government programs as it is.To suggest we need more domestic programs to help anybody is wrong.If you are hungry,uneducated,homeless or whatever there is already a program to help.

    Self reliance works when you can earn an income high enough to pay your bills and save or pay for college. Unfortunately this takes time and energy, a lot of it, especially when instead of receiving a leg up, you get the carpet pulled from underneath you.

    Point is, while you are working your way up to self reliance, the 'dream team' is fast tracking to big bucks that you may never see, especially for positions that don't get filled until someone passes.

    While you delay family in favor of education and income, the 'dream team' can have it all and do it all and at the 'right age', while making the self reliant look inept because the 'dream team's needs, creature comforts, have already been met.

    I wasn't speaking of addition programs, I was speaking of instead of programs.

    At least, five generations of self reliance and no college degrees. Son, loans denied.

    With the latest stats on baby boomers retiring and social security stats, I don't see how we can afford to open the doors to eleven million immigrants who may or may not be employed....and provide them healthcare as well...how is that going to happen?

    Z gun. You must be old as dirt if you believe that. The immigrants that I have been exposed to in recent years pile into small houses and send to overseas for their food and clothing. They send their kids to private schools where English is not spoken because they are here only to accumlate money and return to their country.

    I think the American way of life via the internet is now available world wide. Sudents can be subsidized where they are and so can students of the American way of life. They can study to be come a citizen if they so desire and go thru a naturalization process where they are and relocate later.

    With the current trend in America, there is no point in coming here for a different way of life, different scenery (in some places the one hand looks just like the other hand), maybe, but socialism is socialism no matter where you go. The days of skinning the pig before it's dead are over.

    America is poor and in debt.

    If internet school is good enough for working Americans it should be good enough for others. That goes for jobs too. There are many jobs that can be done over the net with no need to leave home worldwide.

    And there are plenty of Americans out of work who can fill the positions here as chambermaids and factory workers etc or they can go to classes to improve their skills.

    It's pointless to bring more people here with the present economic situation in the United States. Just look at the food stamp percentages.

    The vast majority are not here to give, but to take, and take, and take some more......... Come to think of it, that just makes them Democrats...never mind.

    We need currency anti-transfer laws to go with more strict immigration and illegal alien enforcement. That in itself will slow the flood of illegals.

    I think Zgun is a puppy, never had to work for much, maybe even a silver-spoon boy? He still hasn't grasped the principle that he can spend all his own money on any of the down-trodden he wants. Or, obviously the difference between the 1920's legal immigration and today's social services pirates.

    If immigrants are coming here for the technology why not just stay where they are and make use of it?

    Do immigrants need to have a physical presence on this soil and why at this time when we live in a stressed economy?

    America is already a good blend of the races and cultures and it will continue with the offspring of the current immigrants and those who naturalize later at a slower pace.

    Manufacturing and sales are slowing now as the economy slows so should immigration and no amnesty at this time either.

    American immigration should be closed for remodeling and perhaps it should be upgraded to something modern, practical and technological.

    We know that immigrants are not coming here to do the menial tasks that are dubed "the jobs that Americans don't want to do."

    FYI: Americans have been laughed at by immigrants for doing low paying jobs even if it was because the hours fit into their already busy schedule. I can attest to that. Immigrants are the ones who have said they wouldn't be bothered doing low paying jobs, they have to make it worth their risk of being here.

    ZGUN, Ask an school administrator or school board member how undocumented children drain their funds. Ever talk to a CFO of a hospital about unpaid bills from undocumented patients? Your local health department? County or City administrators?

    Spit out that paint, and for God's sake get out from under those power lines!

    Of course the smart kids these days know not to do anything like that.
