From the looks of the “Happy Dog” thread, many of us are faced with the problem of having a companion animal who has better taste than we ourselves do. This makes shopping for him or her especially difficult. We’ve all helped unwrap a present we thought would be perfect and though - Kyra in this case – does her best to show appreciation, we can read in her eyes “What’s this? Well, what could I expect from someone who collects “Elvis on Black Velvet” paintings? I suppose for sweetest day I’ll get a picture of dogs playing poker – that’ll be a treat! Not!”

If your local sources are limited and on-line too impersonal, maybe you will do as I did last week and drop in to Harrods in Knightsbridge, almost as well known in London for their “Pet Kingdom” as their food halls.

Bedding is well represented for both larger

    and smaller examples,

but either L.L. or Cabela’s – especially the latter’s 2010 spring collection – is a better match for the lifestyle-choices she’s recently been making. Besides, whenever I bring home a new bed she assumes it’s for me, her spot on the Serta being outlined in satin on the eiderdown comforter, after all..

Most of the costumes are too frivolous in her view and would be more appropriate for a less-serious breed

    <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank">[IMG]</a>

but now we are getting closer

    <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank">[IMG]</a>

and this really is quite nice, don’t you think?

    <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank">[IMG]</a>

In the end, though, I realized she would quickly spot anything “off the rack” and think I’d done little more than dash into Duty Free at Heathrow to pick up a last-minute bauble for someone I hadn’t thought a thing about for weeks.

    Staff came to my rescue

and we were able to commission an attractive and well-fitting garment I’m sure she will like. If you run into a dog at the club next summer who you notice is particularly well turned-out, it will probably be Kyra.

My dog passed away the 15th of Jan. I don't think she is needing these. She has one of gold where she is.

I'm a bit biased, but I'll put my Orvis products for the family canine up against those high-dollar, foo-foo Harrods' offerings for the family canine...

We offer some fantastic bedding products.... from our guaranteed "tough chew" dog nests to our therapeutic microfiber bolster beds, offering optional mattress warmers or bed covers for those with incontinence issues...

All at a price which wont break the break and based upon the US Dollar!

    regards all,

    Jay

I miss my shepard that my grandad had his name was King and he was the king over all the property we lived on.

    Those are great!

Unfortunately, I don't think I could trust the butler to dress the dog in the appropriate outfit each day and I'd just get frustrated and end up having to fire him.

Good help is so hard to find you know.
