I guess 1oz. of #8 is plenty from the 16 yd. line. Do I want a heavier load once I start moving back/ This is all new to me, thanks for the help.

    1 1/8oz of 7 1/2 shot @ 1145fps (light target load).

Good for singles, handicap, and even doubles. Words on hot, cold, rainy, or even VERY windy days - works from the 16 to the 27. Eats birds like there is no tomorrow.

Wasn't a very hard decision, but since I have the choice of more than one load in real life, I use something different for everything.

Ok reloads would be red Dot in a Old ribbed gold medal hull with the Claybuster wad and 8 and 7.5 shot for the 3dram and 2 3/4 loads.

don't get much better than that.

I have to go along with Rem 1100 but I'll take mine in 8's.

They smoke 'em from the 16 and the 27. A bit heavy for the first shot on Dbls. but you said only one load!

    Gene

    And they smell GOOD too!!!

    Federal Paper 2 3/4 - 1 1/8 - 7 1/2 new shell.

If reloaded, Federal Paper hull with F209A primer, 18.5 gr. 700X, Claybuster 12C1 equivalent wad and 1 1/8 oz of Lawrence magnum 7 1/2 shot.

This load works well anywhere on concrete and in most games.

AA 1oz 8's or Federal 1oz 8 1/2 Gold Medal.....don't recall missing many targets because I was using the wrong load...just wasn't pointing in the right place...and 1oz loads are just a whole lost easier on my shoulder and face.

That 10 ga. load will probably do a number on incoming red breasted doves.
