If we were good enough... ?

    If one was a good enough shot (I ain't!)...

    Would they want their shot pattern to be the exact same size as the clay target at the distance the shot impacts the target so all 400+ pellets expended their total energy on the clay target so as to eliminate any question concerning "Lost" ?

    Totally not necessary!

    A normal full choke pattern will produce a nice black cloud!

    Hello All,,

    I should have kept the article that was with the Don Zutz reports, this fellow
    writer was saying that he had never picked up a clay pigeon off the ground
    with three holes in it.

    This is from trapshooting fields, no information from skeet or sporting clays fields. The recovery took place in soft deep grass, the targets did not land on bare dirt.

    The 30 inch circle for a shot pattern has produced exc. results in scores
    all across the country at a lot of events.
