ID for Kreighoff chokes

    I've got two chokes for my KS-5 Special. Is there any way to identify the chokes visually without measuring?

    If the chokes are Krieghoff - they should be numbered...

    Mine are numbered with very small numerals that are difficult for me to see in bright light. That isn't a problem for me because I don't change my choke tube.

    Specifications for Krieghoff Factory Choke Tubes (12 gauge)

    00 = C = Cylinder = .000" constriction

    0 = S = Skeet = .005" constriction

    1 = IC = Imp. Cyl. = .010" constriction

    1+ = LM = Lt. Mod. = .015" constriction

    2 = M = Modified = .020" constriction

    2+ = LIM = Lt. Imp. Mod. = .025" constriction

    3 = IM = Imp. Mod. = .030" constriction

    4 = F = Full = .035" constriction

    5 = SF = Super Full = .040" constriction

    Factory choke tubes in the K-80, KX-5, and KS-5 are the same
    and are interchangeable......breakemall.....Bob Dodd
