We went down to the Springs to practice some bunker trap today. And within an hour three National Team members arrived. Corey Cogdell #1 Women's Trap, Collin Wietfeldt #6 Men's Trap, and Amber English #3 Women's Skeet.

Happily, they joined us for a round. No big surprise that they were out shooting. A PERFECT day in Colorado. What great young athletes, and awesome shooting.

Collin crushed 25-straight first barrels, a rare accomplishment that he made look easy, and Corey almost matched that with 23 first barrel kills herself. The other National Member was Amber English (skeet champ) who was just watching with a puzzled curiosity.

If you haven't seen the way these International Champions shoot in person, words can't describe how powerful and well trained they are. For example, Collin's focus is so strong, a train could wreck behind him and I doubt he would lift an eyebrow,... and Corey totally excel's at smoking the largest chip with her second barrel (those times there was one left to shoot~).

    Amazing!

Hope you had a great Memorial Day too. (Thanks VETS!)

Sooooo, that's why Collin didn't shoot with us at the Great Lakes Grand!

Well, We in Michigan are certainly proud of what he's done.

Jim - I agree that Collin is an outstanding individual. I've seen him shoot for the last two years and talked to his mom about his impressive ATA history. He has the talent, passion and commitment to this sport that is going to take him to the top. I've never seen anyone shoot like him! Reminds me of a tank. The "Roger Federer" of trapshooting. Solid and unstoppable.
