I was walking down the street today and I saw a bumper sticker on a parked car that read, "I miss Chicago."

So I broke the window, stole the radio, slashed two of the tires, and left a note that read, "I hope this helps."

The Cubs tickets would have been a little "over the top". There's a point where it just gets cruel... Ric

I miss what Chicago used to be. It does not exist any more. As a matter of the fact, most of the country I loved and was proud of in the 60's and 70's does not exist anymore. I miss it.

We were in a shop on N Wells in Old Town last summer when a cop came to the door of the shop and told us to stay inside as there was a situation outside. About 10 police cars came. After they let us out I went up to one of the officers and asked what happened. He said there was an unfired 22 long rifle cartridge found on the sidewalk. Someone called 911 and said there was an explosive on the sidewalk.

That evening on the local news they said the Chicago police responded to an explosives scare in Old Town and that a cache of explosives was found on the street.

Remember: Chicago's sister city is Mogadishu.....or, is it Detroit?

I grew up 60mi+ SW of Chicago early and mid 60's. Always a piece in the paper or news about some young soul picked up in Chicago for a minor traffic or other offence (drunk and disorderly) and thrown into Cook Co. Jail for no bail money with them and got lost in the system and was eather hurt really bad or even commited suside as I remember. Happened to a buddy going into the navy. The Jail used trustees a lot.

The prettiest sight I have ever seen was Chicago in my rear view mirror, been tempted to drive back there just so I could see it again ... Ahhh, the beauty of it is unmatched ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
