He did shoot exceptionally well....963 out of a 1000. I seem to recall he ran them from 250 to 400, then shot a 99 to finish the first 500.

Jim Trujillo was runner up with a 936
    I was third with 935
    Greg Yocum was 4th with a 930.

And we had a helluva crowd...about 20 folks shot the whole 1000 birds.

We started at 10 am and wrapped about 5:15pm. I'll tell you...1000 targets in 7 hours or so is a LONG DAY. And I was a sore hombre on Monday. Not so much my shoulder from the recoil...but my arms, legs, knees and feet.

Stubby was clearly the class of the field....the rest of us merely see tailights. He says that I can't make a career out of beating him at the state shoot...but I say, since it won't happen again, I sure CAN.

    Jeff
