I am wondering if someone can I.D. a wad for me? It is 12 ga., blue, one and one half inches long, has a shot cup one inch long with four slits going the length of the shot cup and no longitudinal protrusions on the inside of the shot cup. Thanks.

Take it to the club where you shoot. Ohter than that, no picture, probably no ID. You may want to check a shotshell reloading book, many of them have pictures. If you only need shot weight, insert the wad in a hull about the correct seating depth, fill it wiht shot and then pour out the shot and weigh it.

    Good luck,
    Mike

Good idea about taking it to the range and there are two gun shows coming up.

Go to some of the wad websites. Often the photos of the wads are posted there, and maybe you can match it.

    http://www.dusterwads.com

    http://www.downrangemfg.com

    http://www.claybusterwads.com

Not sure if Remington, Winchester, and Federal have photos of their wads, but blue sounds like something aftermarket.

Spoke to a Reloading Store employee. He said it might be a Pacific Versalite and it wasn't made anymore.
